Never has it been more critical to make a stand for life in Queensland than right now. If you live in this beautiful, sunny north Australian state, then we implore you to do something for the tens-of-thousands of lives that are at stake. If you are unaware, the Labor party is seeking to legalise abortion. Again. This is the third bill of its kind. It follows two failed bills proposed by Independent MP Rob Pyne which resulted in 55,000-signature petitions, 2,700 submissions to Parliament, 80 per cent of which were against the proposed changes, a rally for life attracting 4000 marchers, and concerted email, letter and social media campaigns.
Queensland does not want this legislation. That much is clear.
We must stand strong. We must increase our energy and fervour for the cause, rather than become fatigued by the relentless pressure. Queensland’s future decision-makers will thank us.
Here’s three things you can do right now.
1. Sign the petition.
This is a NEW petition. I repeat, a NEW petition. If you have signed a petition in the past, please also sign this one. This parliamentary e-petition speaks strongly to the Queensland parliament of your opposition to the proposed changes. It takes no time at all, but has the potential to make a huge impact on this process.

Now that you’ve signed the petition, please go one step further and share it with your friends. There are so many ways you can do this. Write an email and include the link. Share it on your social media platforms (tag friends in the comments – people are much more likely to engage that way). Send the link to friends via Messenger with a personal message calling them to action. Why not visit your local MP and share your thoughts in person too.
You can also print the petition and collect signatures for submission.
