Hundreds of old and new friends have dressed up, stepped out, stood up, and invested in life at our inaugural Glorious Life gala dinners on the Central Coast of NSW and Cairns.
We have been humbled and heartened by the support, about $30,000 in total.
We partnered with pregnancy support services, Diamond Women’s Support in Gosford, and Chloe’s Place in Far North Queensland to promote life and love: Three organisations, representing a cause greater than any one.
I can’t recall other such events where two organisations have put aside their individual interests to promote one another. We shared the spotlight and the proceeds from these special nights as we informed and educated our treasured guests.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to launch our first media campaigns in these two markets in the next 12 months. We have made a start, but are still well short of what we need, hence our end-of-financial-year appeal to June 30.
Emily’s Voice proudly links to these pregnancy support services from the notbornyet.com website, knowing women who make contact will be treated confidentially, compassionately, practically, and without charge.
Many of our dinner guests are amazed to discover that about 80,000 children each year don’t get to experience life outside the womb.
Our annual dinners are an important means of connecting with our supporters, and raising vital friends and funds for our life and love campaigns.
This weekend we will share our vision and some amazing stories and presentations with our friends in Bundaberg, before heading to Tassie for events in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.
We would love to see you at one of these events or in August in Toowoomba, Perth in September or the Sunshine Coast in October.
